16 foot would be fine for 7 foot ceilings like a house trailer. No hanging light fixtures if you have people living in it that are six foot tall or more. Most that I have seen around here was 18 foot or taller to the top plate. That gives room for a 24 inch floor/ceiling truss for clear span bottom floor with the second floor being solid when walking. 24" floor/ ceiling trusses gives room for plumbing and heat. We used those when building my Daughters house to make a full living space in the walk out basement.
