I am not going to convert the MH44 EFI to port injection this winter, but it still intrigues me. This is an easy process if each cylinder has its own intake port, but gets complicated when ports are shared. Modern engines have intake ports on one side and exhaust ports on the other, so no ports are shared. Older engines shared ports, probably to warm the intake air for better mixing, by sharing an exhaust and intake manifold.
