My mother has it in both eyes. Started out about 8 years ago. Was wet in both eyes but the right one has deteriorated to the point she doesn't get the injections in it any more. She can see with it by holding her head off to the side. It's a training thing, using peripheral vision that way. Her left eye is growing worse, but she also has a cataract that needs fixing. She will 90 in April and is fearful of doing the cataract right now. I can't blame her for that. She can still sorta read the paper with a lighted magnifier with a 3X lens. Funny thing, but it works: Remember the "Zoomies" on TV. Someone got her some (we have tried most anything that could help a bit). On a lark I suggested she try them watching a football game with me on her TV. She can see pretty good that way! They don't do much anywhere else but every little bit helps her attitude.
It's a terrible disease. I am hearing more and more about people having it. Most likely because we are living much longer.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
