dblair, I never was a tree hugger, I'm the opposite. I hate trees planted next to power lines and next to buildings. Trees have been responsible for damaging my buildings and knocking my power out for extended periods. Recently I've had over 20 trees removed next to my buildings. Daughter just had 12 trees taken out of her yard.
People just don't think where they plant trees. People plant trees and sooner or later they need cut down or they will do damage.
Perhaps people should pay for their trees damaging power lines.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion.
