Well the older fellow called me this afternoon to help him haul some more fat cattle. Well he had gotten several GOOD heavy gates. He had them hung with good hinges too. So the sorting was much easier. After the first calf or two tried the gates and found they would not give they settled down. Then when we went out the lane his pickup's 4wd now worked after we replaced the actuator on the front axle. Sorted and hauled two loads to town in under an hour. He grinned an told me he had plugged in his JD 7520 MFWD tractor too. We both got a good laugh out of that.
It was twenty degrees warmer too and that helped. The stock yards were busy so tomorrow should be a heavy sale. It will be interesting to see what the cash market does. The futures are not good at all. The market is thinking that the exports will stay down into the middle to late this coming year.
