Well, I just came from NAPA, and the additive they had bottled in NAPA brand was one pint per four gallons of coolant and was $11 per pint. $33 per tractor? The test strips bottle called for like one ounce per four gallons.
I just picked up a couple of new tires for my mower, and the repair guys at the local Co-Op use Shell Rotella coolant additive, as it comes in formulations for both the old glycol coolants and the new Extended Life Coolant formulations. They had some bottles for the ELC, but none for the older formula on hand. They recommended I try NAPA.
The NAPA bottle specifically says NOT for use with (insert long chemical name I don't remember here). We called the number on the bottle from the NAPA store, and the advice was use that brand on either type of system, but expect no results on the extended life coolant.
I also went to two local parts stores and the big Shell station by the highway- none had the Rotella brand. One did have a Hastings brand additive, but it read almost identically to the NAPA product.
I may have to settle for Fleetguard ($$) if no one else here can straighten me out.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
