A torn muscle is one thing; a break is another thing. I broke 2 in my right arm. I was scheduled for surgery and in the pre-ops, they decided that I had lung cancer and postponed the surgery. I went through a lot of test and they concluded that it was just a scar on my lung. I was re-scheduled for surgery and the doctor had a heart attack. By the time I had the surgery, the muscles had shrunk so far that they had to put some kind of stretcher on them to pull them back, drilled holes in the bone and sewed one back attached the other with screws. that was my right arm. I was about 60. I broke one in my left arm when I was about 70. Both times it was caused by a fall. The doctor thought it was only torn but when he got in there , it was broken. About 2 years ago, I was one handing a 12lb sledge with my right hand and re-injured the first one, decided to just live with it at my age. I'll be 81 in April. I can still start anything but it hurts. Got a 10hp chop saw that is the worst. Both a little weaker than they used to be and hurt some but, just put a starter on grandsons old Mercedes Diesel laying on back. Bottom line, have a MRI, if it is torn go home and act normal. just keep it moving, I don't think therapy does anything for a torn muscle. If it is broken, have surgery

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
