Rutgers University where our son teaches has part of their parking lot covered with solar panels, shade for the cars, electricity for the university. We saw a Walmart in Southern Arizona that did the same thing. I just heard that they are going to put in 640 acres of solar just south of us in AZ, should work great, on a sunny day is when the load is the highest for AC. There is a big solar farm north of Pinewood Ontario that might be on marginal ag land, but I don't think it was that productive for ag.
