Like others have said, it is not just auctions, it is generally any public event. For several years I live next door to a county fairground (I was there first before the fair board purchased then transferred ownership to the city). Talk about disrespect for neighboring property owners. It was almost unbelievable, and I was told that I should not complain at anything that went on, since it was only one week a year (not really as other events went on there during the year), and I should be enjoying it rather than sitting around complaining about what went on. Prior to this moving next door, I always enjoyed going to tractor pulls, but after one was place 30 feet off my property line, with it going on until 3 AM and me having to go to work the next day, I got a whole new perspective. People had no problem just walking through my yard, pulling up lawn chairs, tossing trash onto my property, you name it. Several years of misery living next door to it, and sure glad I finally gave in and got out. I have a stream running through my property now, and ironically about 2-3 times a year I have someone who believes they can come and go upstream through my property and never feel the need to ask permission. Had a couple this Sunday, and got the familiar "I can go where I wish in the creek" story. Wrong.

With Ben, anyway, I can tell! He'll be busy working and I’m handing him tools and he says, "give me that..." and I’ve already got it in his hand or "hand me that....."and I’ve got the portable light right where he needed it placed to see. "Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
