Hi, my brother has 454,495,684 and 3230 which is one model newer than your 595. These tractors all belong to the 74/84/85/95/32xx series tractors that have German built Diesel engines and the rear ends are made in UK. They are the same basic design with improvements in each model. Re Transmission noise, they are noisy if you leave them in 4th gear and the rev/hi/lo just out of hi. Try lifting the rev/hi/lo lever up slightly and see if the noise lessens. Re oil, my brother always used Shell Rotella T 15W-40 in summer and 5W-30 in winter but a few years ago Shell dealer retired and he switched to ESSO/EXXON HD oils. Re bits in filter, I agree with Bruce or if there is a loader and the bits are plastic, they could be from loader.
Re Hi/Lo switch on the dash, NEVER change from Hi to Lo when going down a hill or going at high speed.
