> I was thinking about testing the spray pattern on the injectors. You can look at the spray pattern, but their will be several other things you must consider. FIRST- Safety> Keep all body parts well away from the spray tip !! High pressure diesel can puncture the skin and cause instant blood poisoning. You can look to see that all the holes are open and maybe how well it atomizes the fuel but thats about it. You can't test pressure and you can't see if the tip is leaking down. Suggest taking it to a reputable fuel shop and let an expert test them. Rebuilt engines really need new tips installed. Why go to all the trouble of rebuilding an engine only to put worn out injectors back in? Insist on NEW tips when having injectors repaired. Rebuilt tips are just that. Ever wonder how they can resize the fine holes in nozzles back to orginal? They can't. Pop Tester, Diesel Dan
