These wheels are original JD 22 inch rear wheels for an L. They are in excellent condition externally but don't know what they look like under the tire. This is an L with the Hercules engine. The engine has 4 cracks in the block but the buyer had already paid for the extra engine my Friend had for it. We have agreed to let it go for $500.00 which includes the tractor, an extra mag, extra governor, seat bracket, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and several other parts. All these parts are used. Since the LA had 24 inch rims mounted on a center with clamps I am thinking these wheels could be very desirable to someone. These are one piece like big truck wheels with rim riveted to the center. I found a couple places advertising LA rims only for $265.00. I am thinking these should bring $100.00 each with no problem. The buyer wants them so we are trying to determine a fair price for them.
The buyer is a good friend and we are all past Officers and present Directors of our Antique tractor club. He is known to be very thrifty in his purchases and we just want to make sure the widow gets a fair price.

But no matter how good or bad auctions may be, we always seem to stay until the item we've come for or are interested in is on the block. I've been to some auctions near and far. I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
