I was apprehensive of what Lady Gaga would do, but she seems to have used shock value to get herself noticed years ago, and is smart enough to be able to entertain and work with society from there. I thought she did well enough, good job.
The field looked really bad, receivers and running backs couldn't get footing, really affected the game. Probably hurt the offensive team and helped the defensive team? Made for a very sloppy game, for being the showcase game...... It was all in all a close and interesting game most of the night but it was so sloppy it didn't seem like the best of the best competing.
Half time show was not good, muffled and dull. I know it is not our type of music for the typical fella on this site, but given that, it was dull, boring, poor sound, blah. Bruno Mars brings some energy to a live show I find him entertaining but he was the shortest part of it, the rest of it was nothing even lots of leg just didnt really do much. For a 50th show it was really badly done. And it is a hurry up, do a lot on a short time, not much substance type of a show, I have low expectations and understand its pacing is going to be odd..... But it was not much.
The commercials were worse. Doritos ultrasound was funny, a couple of the car commercials were average or above, the wiener dogs were. But over all they were disappointing, the good ones seemed average, and it went downhill from there. The Clydesdales were so small it was disappointing and isn't that beer company owned off shore now so their message was kind of a slap in the face. The monkey dog baby thing was interesting but almost a bit creepy, darker than it should have been - rather than cute it made my neck hairs raise a bit..... Mostly the commercials reminded me of the colon that was running up the steps holding its own rear end..... Not good.
I like players that are on the field showing me how good they are with their plays. If they stop playing and try to tell me or others how good they think they are they very quickly lose me and I think they are stuck up idiots no matter their talent level...... Any highly talented qb is probably going to think highly of himself just how that goes, but Cam certainly puts himself on the bad side of that equation and opens himself up for the criticism he gets and deserves for being self centered jerk.
Did I miss anything? :)
Blizzard here since half time last nite, roads closed, got not much else to do but sit here and be critical grumpy old guy. :)

Today's Featured Article - Grain Threshing in the Early 40's - by Jerry D. Coleman. How many of you can sit there and say that you have plowed with a mule? Well I would say not many, but maybe a few. This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
