I have a 25 year old turbo heater a Ready heat 1500 btu model. It does not have a dent or scratch on it and has been trouble free. Over the years I have taken the cover off and blown it out with shop air and wiped down. So it is not gummed up. Lately when it is running I get a chirping noise from it. Last night it started hard and did not start and heard a humming noise. I unplugged it and re plugged it in and the same thing. On the third time it started just fine. I took the cover off to see if maybe the fan was binding or something but did not find anything and it was not dirty either. So does anyone have any idea what the chirping noise and the hard start is about. It does have all the original cover screws in place. So I do not think the noise is from a lose cover.
