About 3 years ago, my brand name boots, $125, from Gander mountain fell apart after 3 months. Gander gave me a hard time giving me a refund, we don't refund after 30 days. I was lucky to find insulated work boots, most places were out this late in the winter. So I went to TSC and found a pair of Ranger boots with removal thinsulate insulation. They were marked down on clearance, about $45. I love them, went back to buy a second pair and they were out. I only wear these boots when is very cold or my feet will sweat and liner will be soaked my noon.
So much for expensive brand name boots, I'm going to TSC.
