Case made darned good tractors but once in awhile a lemon comes out of the factory. I got one of those lemons when I bought a new 1070 in the fall of '74. Ran it 1800 hours and traded it off for another brand. The primary reason for switching to the other brand was because the red dealer was closer to home. I know every different way to the town I bought that Case in because I was taking the tractor back to the dealer so many times. Hated to leave the Case dealer because they were such nice down to earth folks. Now I kind of wish I had a 1070 for yard work.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
