I have a couple stories about dogs and cats different from those already stated. First... A couple years ago we picked out a new kitten to replace old one that died. We only have one neighbor, a 6-4 burly guy that is a prison guard who loves cats. He is only at this house semi-occasionally when he comes to fish. Well when our new cat was about 6 to 8 months old the neighbor saw him in his yard, and thinking he was a stray, he took him when he returned to his full-time residence. And there he stayed for 3 weeks. When I asked him if he had seen our cat, he said no, however the cat mysteriously showed up back home the following weekend when he returned to fish. The cat was so well fed that he did not eat upon entering our house. We all laugh and say the he had gone on a "rumspringing"! Second... In my area of Southside Virginia it is custom to hunt deer with dogs. Hunters have legal right to enter your land to "retrieve" their dogs, (upon notification of the landowner.) Also several fox hound tournaments are held in this area. It is not unusual to have 200-300 hounds running across my pastures at 6AM. Some of these hounds are really dumb, having been kept in pens their entire life and when released they display really stupid behavior. On several occasions my horses have attacked dogs in my pasture , actually killing one who just turned belly-up and allowed horses to stomp it. I notified the folks running the tournament that if they gave me prior notice, I could put horses in Corral during the one day tournament. So far that has not happened.

I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
