: I have a 440 crawler with blade and winch has tall far leads for winch low hrs new tracks : I was wondering what it is worth? also is there a jd list? I also need a wiring digram and service : manual . the clutch sticks will i need to put a clutch in it . has been stored in a barn for a few : years Thanks Larry The 440 is the industrial version of the 430 ag crawler. The 430 was essentially the same as the 420, except for the dash/sheetmetal. There was a running change to the direction reverser at the end of the 420 production; replacing a gear drive with a clutch pack/differential style. The 440's were made from 1959 to 1964 and were available with the 2-cyl gas engine or Detroit Diesel (GM) 2-53 2-cyl 2-stroke (supercharged). Basically, any 440 that still runs is worth at least $4,000. Add on a few hundred for the winch and $1000-1500 for the D/R if it's so equipped. If it really has new tracks (pins and bushings) ad another $2000. These small crawler/dozers are becoming in demand again lately. I'm seeing quite a number of home builders running them these days. They are so much easier to use than a JD350 would be (I know - I've had both, and kept the 420)
