Really research it well!!! Long is out of business. So parts support is spotty. Some Long tractors can be hard to find parts for while others are not too bad. None of these were built by Long in the last 30 years. They all where built by other companies and sold by Long. The Uzina Tractorul Brasov (UTB) built ones are actually the easiest to find parts for as they where sold under other brand names that are still in business. The Landinis built ones maybe or maybe not are hard depending on the model as some Landinis where real close twins to some model of MF tractors. The MF clone ones are easy to find parts for the others not so much. The ones built after 1998 when long became Indian owned are harder the hardest ones to get parts for around here.
The $4800 asking price for the tractor and six foot rotary cutter is not much of a deal. I see Long tractors sell for $2-3K all of the time. I would keep looking for something different. It sounds like your not an experienced tractor owner. Get some thing easier to buy parts for and that ahs some dealership support. With a LONG tractor your on your own.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
