It's hard with the cost of service to justify calling a vet but I look at as temporarily hiring part time help. Being alone you can always use the extra help also when doing any kind of vaccination I pay for what I need and don't have to throw away a half a bottle of expensive outdated vaccine. Besides the vet girls are darn cute. I had a cow just before the due date the calf somehow kicked inside splitting the uterus .The vet saved the cow lost the calf and when I sold the cow it was enough to pay the vet bills.
