For that $$$’s, I should think you could get into a decent later model tractor, beyond the MF 135’s and Ford 3000's - which were/are very good tractors. If you go mahandra or another import brand, probably get something even newer for the same money.
Take some time, look at a ton of tractors at dealers, craigslist and tractorhouse and get a good idea of price vs model. IMHO, buying from an individual vs a dealer is the lowest cost. Make sure you ask why the sale, like I'm retiring from farming, this was my dad's tractor (estate sale), bought a larger hp tractor (and it's setting there) and the story is somewhat believeable.
Do you're homework and know what you're looking at ahead of time and when the deal presents itself, pounce on it like an impulse buyer - but thoroughly informed.
Hard to go wrong with Ford/New Holland and MF utility tractors.
