So one of my friend has this Manlift that has not been run in maybe 1.5-2 years. He asked me to get it running today so I went an looked at it. Has a Volvo overhead cam engine in it. When I first tried to spin it over it popped once or twice then nothing. Pull the air cleaner out and sprayed a bit of starter fluid in. I could see that it looked like smoke coming out of the air intake. Pulled the tube off the carb and held my hand on the air intake and instead of sucking on my hand it blew. I am thinking it has to be one of 2 problems. #1 stuck intake valves and or the timing has slipped as for the cam that is since it uses a timing belt. I can see the cam drive sprocket turning but that does not say it is in time. Do you think I am on the right track?? Thanks
