I think you might be right. It is definetly an insurance issue. Our dues are only 15$ per year per family. That barely covers the cost to print and Mail the news letter. Then you have to pay for advertising for our show. That puts us in the hole to pay insurance. We have one of the nicest shows in the country ( we were in the farm collector magazine two years ago for our John Deere show) but we don't make a dime from admission. There are a few of us younger members (28-35) who have joined in the last five years that are trying hard to help out but it takes a long time for change to happen when your club consists of mostly older, long term members ( who I very much respect). My self and others would like to add more hands on events instead of being a strictly "show tractor" club. That all being said, we are not trying to take over, just add some fun, bonding events. Ben

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
