I have that same saw. When mine starts doing this I pull the chain and bar off. Then I use a zip tie cut square and clean the gunk out of the bar where the chain teeth slide through.
When you clean the bar also insure that the slotted holes in the chain are clean and that little hole by the slotted ones.
If the bar gets excessively dirty or the oil holes in the bar become partially plugged will cause these symptoms.
While you have the bar off clean the chain sprocket area keeping the crud away from the oil supply slot/hole.
After cleaning the sprocket area and the bar still off run the saw to ensure that oil is being pumped out the oil slot/hole.
This usually solves the oiling problem on the 455's. You may want to turn the oil supply screw back to original position after cleaning and before running. These can pump enough oil to drain the tank before you run out of gas and burn the bar/chain up a fast as not getting enough oil.
Let me know if this corrects your issue. Hope this helps.
