To answer this question is like this: The demostration model is what we call a first set of tractors made for selling. This means low serail numbers and If it is a true I H or farmall tractor ( the casting codes are for that year). If you are restoreing for just show or are you doing it for money? The casting codes on engine will show up to a real collector which means if it is money they will note the engine change. I.H. & farmall where the companies that kept there casting codes to months and years. So if they had a problem on a cast they could change it all out. I look at a engine rebuild around 1500.00 and a radiator aroound 300.00 If you want money for this tractor what is it worth you investment. The cheap way to go or the right way. You say your going to keep one that one you keep you should make it your best. A full restored tractor is really worth the money I should know I buy tractors that have been torn down and then I rebuild them back in to machines. I work on I do some times take that part or that engine off another tractor it is only because I just do not have it for the tractor I am restoreing. As we say in SO. Ca. if you do not have the money than you should not even think about doing it.
