To my understanding it's impossible to prove a letter series IH/Farmall is or isn't a demo. They did not keep track of serial numbers. The dealers were supposed to repaint them red and put new decals on them before selling them. When they came out with the gold demos there were a few notable differences from regular production models. I don't know what those features are for sure. Like the white demos the gold ones were supposed to be repainted red prior to sale.
If you have a gold demo with the features only put on those tractors it will greatly enhance the value. For true collectors unless you have absolute 100% proof that it was a demo white paint detracts from the value. To someone not familiar with the letter series demo you may fool them into thinking it's a rare tractor.
IH started the white demo with the first run being in the 47010-54411 serial # range for the C. That doesn't mean that a tractor in that range is a demo. They later continued the program shipping demos as needed. Now just to clarify this. IH used several different primers that people find under that red paint. Some was white and some a very light grey and a few other colors. So some people think they have a demo if they find white under the red when it's just very light grey or white primer.
On that note it shouldn't be too expensive to rebuild a C engine.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
