Hey GT, Just saw that you liked my picture from yesterday, glad you like it, thank you! That is my dad running my twin brother's soybeans. He would like to be a farmer, but won't join me and dad as a trio, even though dad and I do 75% of his work, he is "too busy". He works 1 job, haha. I worked 14 hour days last year hauling chloride, hauled logs on the weekends, and worked on other people's equipment and farmed last year. Too busy, give me a break lol. That field was in set aside for 20 years, 50 acres, and I didn't have time to chisel plow it for my brother before we got a bunch of rain, and my dad and my crops were done, so my brother had to no-till the soybeans in 30" rows. He planted the corn and soybeans the same day, late. We normally plant 15" rows. I was doing the trucking, and was waiting to see how dad was coming, and how the beans were. He is using one of his K2 diesel combines with a 13' head. We make a good team, dad and I, and I don't have many pictures of him, or our farming, so I've been trying to take as many as I can since he's getting older. I'm glad you like the picture!

Today's Featured Article - A Lifetime of Farm Machinery - by Joe Michaels. I am a mechanical engineer by profession, specializing in powerplant work. I worked as a machinist and engine erector, with time spent overseas. I have always had a love for machinery, and an appreciation for farming and farm machinery. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
