Based on the specs that I can find your 6.70-15 tire is about 28 inches tall and has a sidewall width of just over 7 inches. If described in the metric nomenclature this tire could be called something like a 185/85-15 where the "185" is the width in millimeters, the "85" is the ratio of the sidewall height to the tire's width, and of course "15" is the rim size.
You can calculate the approximate height of any metric designation tire by taking two times the width times the aspect ratio (as a decimal, such as .85 for the example above) and adding the rim diameter. However, there is no way of calculating the height of a tire with the "xx.x-xx" size designation since the sidewall height to width ratio isn't listed.
