The David Cash family owned the John Deere dealership for several years. David died and Mrs. Cash and her son ran the dealership for a short time. They sold the dealership to Tennessee Tractor. This group is a LLC group and has tractor dealerships in Alamo, Martin, Brownsville, Paris, Trenton, Dyersburg, Ripley, Union City, Jackson and Somerville. I deal with the Jackson branch (as I have stated, I am an Oliver person but since Oliver is out I still like green). I believe it was owned by the Williams family prior to the Cash family. When the Cash family sold out, they removed all the parts, service manuals and operator manuals and they were carried to Mrs. Cash's house. These were the manuals before microfiche; therefore, the manuals covered pre-World War II equipment up thru the the 2 number tractors and some 3 numbers and there was a host of equipment manuals. They were in near perfect ring binders. Mrs. Cash priced the whole lot to my friend and me and we bought them; there were hundreds of them. We sold these manuals thru EBay, some to local collectors and a few to Tennessee Tractor. It was a very profitable deal for us.
