Has to be coaxed and led by the hand to try ANYTHING new, can come up with a million excuses why he shouldn't do it.
I despair of him ever growing a set.
Only thing I can think of that may contribute to his timidity is that his older brother was the exact opposite. Definitely a "hold my beer" type. He never got seriously hurt, but did spend quite a bit of time/money making up for his adventures that didn't quite go to plan.
