A guy about 25 miles from my dad told him he had 4 tractors that he wanted to get rid of, just give them away. Dad said, well, we'll go look at them and see what they are, instead of just saying he wanted them. The guy said I have to get them out of here soon. Well, we went and looked at them, there was a Case 430? diesel, an Oliver 88 diesel, and I believe the other 2 were another Case and a MM. It has been so long ago I forget. All but one had decent tires and free engines. Well, dad's buddy that goes everywhere with him happened to mention this to another tractor guy and he hooked up his trailer and headed over there. The guy was real hard to catch at home and didn't want anybody taking the tractors when he wasn't there. This other guy got really lucky and he happened to be home and he loaded up all 4 and took them home. Dad called the guy and told him he wanted them a couple days after we looked at them, and he told dad that he figured he didn't want them and another guy had already came and got them. Dad's buddy was not real happy this other guy did that to him. All 3 that the engines were free ran with just a little work.
