Not sure! Never any blood. I was barely 40 when a urologist "guessed" I had prostatitis. Or he was using it as a "catch all term". The first assumption he, and the doctors I had seen prior to him was that it was cancer. Negligible PSA. My conclusion was that he was clueless. My wife finally came upon some information at the library about "cystitis", or interstitial cystitis. My problem was diet. By trial and error we got it under control.
