A couple of years ago, the local town (population ~650), allowed them to be legal on the streets. It seems now that everybody has one. One of the local BTOs has his wife drive one, IIRC a John Deere, instead of a car or truck, even though they could afford a Rolls Royce. Last summer, one of the local kids driving one of them pulled out right in front of me as I was leaving town. If I had been driving the speed limit of 40 mph instead of 10 mph, there would have been two funerals for the kids that I about hit. The passenger has eyes the size of dinner plates as I got within two feet of hitting them.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
