I went to a sale here in Lancaster yesterday. The early 4020 Gas with 158 loader and cab brought $4900.
The 4020 narrow front with a diesel combine engine brought $7700.
1066 with cab and duals brought $10,400. The auctioneers hired help tried to drive up bids by starting it and moving it. First he couldn't figure out how to start it, and then he shifted it wrong and got it between gears. They shut down the auction for 10 minutes while they tore the shifter quadrant apart to get it back into shape!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
