Tracto-man,your money do as you please. If I remember right, you are 14 years old. Lot of guys will try to talk you out of an sos trans in a ford. Have had one for ten years [5000] and it is a great tractor. Friend of mine owned it since it was new. Always worked hard and put up wet. Was always serviced when it was due. Have not ran it in a couple of years because the shift cable and shifter were damaged by some young vandals. Still waiting for them to pay up. Due to get out of jail in a couple of months. I would offer him a lot less, all he can say is no. Buy a newer one for not much more than he is asking for that one. If I was closer I would be willing to help you out. Oregon is a long way from you. Listen carefully to some of these other old guys and you will learn a lot. Good Luck.
