My dad is checking out metal fenceline feeders. He manages 14-15 head of cattle. They come to him in late spring around 250-275lbs and leave in the fall around 600+lbs. He and I have looked at a few different brands and trying to decided what is the best fit for him. They seem to be either designed for larger cattle or a few are made for sheep, goats, calves. Salesmen haven't been overwhelmingly helpful. My dad likes the idea of the the brands with the adjustable neck bar rather than the slant divider bars. We don't know any body in the local area with one. So, I am looking for some help out there. Who of you has/have one? What size of cattle do you have? What seems to be a good size for the size cattle my dad manages?
