If I recall correctly Ford made a few versions of the 4000. Pre 1965 it was similar to the 800 series with a 4 cylinder engine. 1965 and later there was two versions, one was basically a 5000 with a smaller 3 cylinder engine (Heavy duty rear axle), the other was a 3000 with an oversized engine (lighter duty). I believe one of these was called the 4000 SU but the diesel versions used a 201 cid engine, Gas or propane used the 192 cid.
The head gaskets are going to be different between the 175 and 192.
Do some more looking on this site on the Ford forum.....ether do a search or reask the question, but I am sure the tractor numbers and how to use them for identification have been explained on there before.
