Our club was faced with the same dilema a few years ago. We were dealing with a local agent for probably 15 years. Then we heard about EDGE and for one year we went with them in addition to our regular carrier. What we found out about EDGE was that there were too many stipulations such as 100% of the club members had to be sign up for EDGE, the name EDGE had to appear in our incorporation title and several more stipulations which I won't go into here. Another thing that we didn't like is the fact that when we called the EDGE representative and asked a question, we never got a straight answer. It was always, "probably" or "I think". Anyway, after the first year, we dropped EDGE and went shopping around locally. We were able to find a local agent who saved us over $400.00 a year for the same coverage that the local company we had been dealing with for the past 15 years was charging us. We found that it pays to shop aroud and also it pays to compare pricing whenever your policy comes due.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
