OK this thread seems to have been idle for about a month, but I thought some might enjoy my doodlebug sickle mower made from a model TT Ford and a champion draw cut mower. The beauty of most doodlebugs is the evidence of what the creator had to work with, generally very little and made up for with creativity. This bug has many well done elements, but one keyway helped to demonstrate what the builder had to work with, the keyway was well made, but was obviously made by drilling a series of holes and using a cold chisel to make the cut, I guess that is what people did on cold winter days when there was little else to do?
I would also like to comment on the tractor from Buckeye, I believe the steering mechanism in the front is from a "camel back" drill press, a pretty good idea, but it makes me cringe I could never cut up my camel back bulky but the best drill ever.
