Hi Not related to Case either and hopefully not your problem. I had a customer bring a tractor into my shop once he had partly seized the motor due to a cooler line bursting, and it bent the crankshaft slightly in the process. when it was running and the clutch pedal was pressed you could feel the push on the pedal as the bend came out and went back in as it turned the clutch/flywheel assembly . apart from low oil pressure and junk in the oil filter, The untrained guy would of bought it in a sale and never really known until it blew up at some point . It didn't knock or anything.
if the release bearing was riding on the clutch release levers it would do the same thing . Does the motor look like it's had the oil pan off recently or is there any known motor/clutch work been done in the last while?, maybe someone "Fixed" a problem, or "Didn't like what they found" and dumped it. Yes it does happen I have seen guys get a bad deal before with new to them machines. It wouldn't be the first time something like thats turned up here to be fixed in my shop within a month of a new owner. Regards Robert
