I just bought this tractor at a reasonable price. It has a few issues. I have had a real problem getting information. It's like there is a black hole when it comes to usable on parts. what I mean is even going through a Massey dealer they just say they have no record to identify this tractor. This makes it hard to insure I am buying the right parts. I t has a Perkins 152UA S/N 131161D 3 cyl diesel. Some of my docs call it a MF40B but The original decal on the hood just says MF40. There is another data plate above the STD one on the instrument panel that has 4760 stamped on it. I do not wish to purchase Manuals unless I can be sure if they apply. I am hoping someone can help me out here. My main issue is with the cyl head. Compression gases pressurizing the cooling system, I hope it is just the head gasket. I bought a new gasket but do not know the torque for the head bolts. Back to the issue of applicable Manuals. I know it's a great machine just need to give it some much needed maintenance.
This tractor has a MF32 Loader on it and is equipped for a 3 point hitch. It has wet brakes, Std clutched xmsn with L/H lever for FWD/REV. Any info would be much appreciated.
