I had TE in my left elbow for years. I tried everything for it, the arm bands, pain relievers, cortisone shots etc with limited or minimal relief. My family Dr. suggested surgery but I knew it had limited success rate. Finally I was directed to a Dr. outside my insurance plan. He is a traditional MD but also like some alternative medicine. He told me about Prolotherapy. He gave some literature and told me to come back in 2 days. I studied it and as skeptical as I was decided to do it. My insurance company would pay for continued cortisone shots or surgery but not this therapy. See the attached link on it. It took about 4 months but it cured it and the pain has never come back. That was 14+ years ago.
I recommend it to anyone with TE, as long as you are not deathly afraid of needles :-(
