No need to pull the bell housing, just pull the trans off the bell housing. Older models had a removable cover on the bottom of the bell housing to gain access to the clutch, on newer models with SAE housings you have full access to the clutch once the trans is removed.
Make sure you have a good jack to support the trans, it's heavy.
