But it matters not.
Guy with a hangover can built either. Neither contractors nor "manufactured" home builders breathalyze the workers before they start working. Heck, guy with a hangover may have built your car/truck! 10-12 years ago they caught a bunch of Chrysler line workers at a park near the plant smoking dope and drinking beer on their lunch break!
But the fact is that if something comes up and a person needs to sell they may well fin themselves with something that they can't sell because it's a manufactured/mobile home that has devalued and they owe more than they can get out of it. Right now I have a brother in law and another relative who are both in that situation. None of the prospective buyers can get the local banks or mortgage companies to go with what they have to have just to pay them off. The BIL has been paying on his for about 15 years and it sits on 14 acres. So you can present you opinion on that but the facts are there for anyone wishing to actually check on them. In fact around here most realtors won't even talk to you about selling one unless you A. own it free and clear B. the property it sits on goes with it and C. you are asking about what someone may actually get it finance it for.
