Kinda sad how it goes. I sell a few used parts on eBay.. Anymore I'm to the point that I use the buy-it-now to sell (and I try to accept what I feel is a fair price for both myself and my purchaser, but I almost always ask a few percent above what I will accept, as almost everyone wants to talk a seller down, even if the asking price is LOW), but, when I auction, I start all parts at either $9.99+shipping, or $15-25 with free shipping, and if the part is valued at $100 but gets only one bid, it is what it is. It's the risk I take as a seller. I don't want to lose money (and technically, I didn't lose money, because as my ag teacher used to say "unless you had the money in your hand you didn't lose it") but sometimes it happens.. As long as the buyer pays, it ships.
Also, for those that have never sold on eBay, they even charge their sales commission on what the buyer pays on shipping! We are supposed to only charge what it costs me to ship, but then they commission on that, which hits my bottom line! Sure I get a slight shipping discount.. But that is ate up by the commission! Then PayPal takes their cut too..

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
