I'm wanting to take my old not working generator off of my tractor and swap it with a new alternator for a 1995 Dodge Ram. I bought it for the dodge but the tranny went out before I could install it. I know I'll have to get a bracket to fit, but I am wondering how to wire it. There is not a working wiring harness on the tractor. I disconnect the battery after starting. The only wires on it go from positive terminal to a push button start (no key ignition), from push button to starter, ground wire from starter to negative terminal. What should I buy wire wise? It's an internally regulated alternator, 3 wire.
