There is one more alternative, depending on how bad of shape your tank is in. Look elsewhere on this site
for the "archives" where there is an article about refinishing gas tanks with a product called "Kreem." This
is a product that is supposed to remove the rust and "paint" the inside of the tank with a thick polymer that
plugs up pinholes. Of course there are pinholes and then there are pinholes. You might need more help than
that if your tank is too far gone. I am currently planning to use this method on my F12.
