: Sparky, Victoria , Australia. John Deere adopted the styling for the "D' in 1939. Parts books and operator manuals are still available. Write to John Deere Distribution Service Center, Department S/P, 1400 - 3rd Ave., Moline, Illinois, U.S.A. 61265 and ask for a "Service Publications Catalog for Customers". Hope they still have it mine is 1983 edition.
