I am kinda like JD.
We bought a used 5th wheel camper.
We headed for Mt Rushmore. Pulled in to a camp ground in an empty area and within an hour had a camper 20 foot from us on either side. Spent 3 days there and headed home.
On the way home my wife asked why did we buy a camper to leave our nice home in the country to park next door to 2 other campers. I agreed. We decided if we are going to be in a crowd we might as well get hotel rooms.
No set up time required.
We sold the camper that fall and now stay in hotels and enjoy that better.
Camper costs with the extra gas and all will pay for a lot of nights in a hotel.
