I had to wear them for refinery work. Bought a couple of sets of the kaki shirts and jeans just to stay out of the coveralls. Carhartt makes a good product but they all have to meet the same standards . Another myth is they won't burn. They will but not as fast to ignite .If your in an environment where they're required and get torn not a cheap repair. Very tight weave in the material that makes them hot to wear. The good old green welding jacket does fine for around the shop. Good luck.
